Easy No-Bake Butterfinger Balls

1. Prepare the peanut butter mixture

Add the peanut butter and softened butter to a large mixing bowl. Beat them together until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

Add the vanilla extract and mix again until evenly incorporated.

2. Add the dry ingredients

Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition. Fold in the crushed candy bars and continue stirring until everything is evenly combined.

The mixture should be thick enough to hold its shape. If it feels too soft or sticky, refrigerate it for approximately 15 minutes before forming the balls.

3. Shape the balls

Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.

Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them between your palms to form balls about one inch wide. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet without allowing them to touch.

Refrigerate the balls for at least 30 minutes. Chilling helps them remain firm when they are dipped into the warm chocolate.

4. Melt the chocolate

Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave it in 20-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until smooth.

If the melted chocolate appears too thick for dipping, stir in one teaspoon of coconut oil or vegetable shortening. Do not overheat the chocolate, as it may become thick or grainy.

5. Coat the peanut butter balls

Using a fork or dipping tool, lower each chilled ball into the melted chocolate. Turn it gently until completely covered, then lift it out and allow the excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.

Return the coated ball to the lined baking sheet. Repeat until all the balls have been dipped.

Before the coating sets, you can sprinkle a small amount of crushed candy over the top for extra crunch and decoration.

6. Chill until firm

Place the finished Butterfinger Balls in the refrigerator for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, or until the chocolate coating has completely hardened.

Let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving so the centers become perfectly soft and creamy.
